My shoulder has been hurting for some time. It seems to be getting worse. I m 53, female. Over weight. I have a desk job. The pain is two types. Aching at time, and sharp pain when I raise it over my head or really bad when a move it behind me. It s my left shoulder and I m left handed.

Hi, I think you are having some muscle sprain. Take some pain killers and muscle relaxant also. If pain persists, then you may need a xray of your shoulder. Consult an orthopedician.
